05/10/2017 - UPDATE -
Hi everyone. My name is Becky, but I also answer to my nickname, Reba. Right now I am loving life in a fantastic foster home. I am only a year old, but I know I have never been this happy before. I love my foster parents and get along really well with my three older foster siblings. I honestly think I tire them out because I am always busy.

My parents say I am super sweet and am all about playing. I am into everything!!! I even do some work. I help Mom fold laundry, get things from the refrigerator, and put away things in the cabinet. I am curious about everything and have tons of energy. I LOVE to be outside in my fenced yard running and playing. Mom or Dad are always with me, and they do have fun watching me, that I know. Their favorite thing, and mine, is when I play with an empty plastic milk jug. It is the best toy. I can grab it, bite it and shake it. It makes cool noises, too. I even get to play with it in the house. It is the best. We have lots of other fun dog toys, too, and I love treats.

Now I want to tell you how much I love EVERYONE. I went to an adoption show and made friends with all the people and kids. I am a kid, so I think kids and I could play really well together. I get so excited meeting people and pups. Mom says to tell you that I am crate trained, and I sleep in my crate at night. Since I lived at a puppy mill, I am not yet house trained, but I am working hard on this. I want to learn all the important things so I will be the best pup I can be for my new family. I will need a patient family to train me and give me loads of outdoor exercise. Sometimes I get nervous and run in circles, but now I have a treat-filled toy that I work on. It is great, and it distracts me, plus I like the yummy treats.

I am so, so excited about meeting MY family. I will love them so very much, and I know they will love me and take good care of me. Every morning I am so eager to see my foster parents, and I greet them with good morning kisses. I promise I am going to be thrilled to give my new family lots of special kisses.

I know there is a family out there looking for a sweet young girl like me. Oh, what fun we will have together!

Hi Everyone! My name is Becky, and I just arrived at the CSAC from the kind people at Spanky's Project. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am shy because I have not been around a lot of people. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my forever family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
