Hi again! I wrote to you weeks ago to say that I have Cushing's Disease and was starting my treatment. Great news! I am doing really well. I have to take a pill every morning, and my foster mom says I never fuss about it at all. I used to drink lots of water, but now my desire to drink has dramatically decreased. I am feeling good and it shows.

Mom says I am interested in everything. You have to be feeling good and have energy to be that nosy! I like so many things. I LOVE people and other pups. (Don't really know if I am a cat fan or not since I have not lived with them.) I now live with four other Cockers who treat me just like a brother. I love them. And, of course, I love my people. Mom is the BEST. She is so wonderful to me. She takes us on great walks which I love, and I walk well on my leash. I have a great appetite but have no food or treat or toy aggression. I am a SWEET boy. That's what my foster mom says, and she knows.

I like to go out and about to do different things. I am really good at the vet and enjoy the car ride to get there. And I just got groomed the other day. Mom says I am handsome beyond belief! Oh, you probably also want to know that I am housebroken. I go to the back door and bark to tell Mom I want to go out. At night I am a great sleeper. I sleep in my comfy, cozy dog bed on the floor. I sleep all night long and wake up at 6:00 AM. Aren't I just the best??

What I really long for is my own home. I am so eager to be a valued member of my new family. My mom says I am a beloved boy who will be a wonderful family member. I am the sweetest boy, and I will make my family the happiest family in the world. Thanks so much for reading my letter. - Love and kisses, Sweet Simon

Simon here. The docs found out that I have a condition called Cushing's disease. I can be controlled with medication and follow up vet care. CSAC was afraid there was something wrong with my liver but I am ok. I am ready to find my new home where I can run, play and be loved. Can you help? - Simon

Hi, my name is Simon. My former owner asked CSAC to find a new home for me. I loved my owner but she had some tough things happen and needed to move to an apartment. I hated it. I loved my old home, and there were so many distracting sounds in the apartment that drove me crazy. I just had to bark and bark. My new neighbors did not like that at all. I need a quiet home. I really like people, kids, other dogs and cats. Right now, one of CSAC's great vets are checking me out. I have a few medical issues that need to be looked into so I can be treated properly, but I should be ready to go to a new home soon. Can that be you?

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
