06/25/2017 - UPDATE -
Hello. I recently had something terrible happen to me. I was left by the side of a road in my crate. I was so very scared and hopeless. Then all my bad luck changed and CSAC rescued me.They saved my life. The vets took good care of me. I had to have surgery, but now am feeling really great.

The next best thing to happen was when I got to meet my foster dad. My dad is so super and kind. I showered him with kisses when we met, and we both were so happy. When Dad took me to my foster home, I got to meet his two Cockers. One of them was very interested in me. Dad called it "amore." That pup was really smitten but, I got a little firm and let him know that I was not interested in a boyfriend. Now we are just pals, and all is well. The other pup is actually afraid of girls. How about that? But he stops being afraid if you mess with his food. So, I don't do that. We all do just fine. Dad said the other day that watching us is too much fun. Dad says I am very sweet and have lots of energy and spirit. I feel so fortunate to be with Dad and the boys. Dad really loves me and I love him. But I am also excited about finding my new home. I cannot wait to find a home like my foster home where I am safe, well cared for, and loved to bits! Please tell CSAC you want to meet the much loved little gal named Corey.

Thanks for reading about me. Love and kisses - Corey

MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:
Hi Everyone! My name is Corey, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. My story is sad. I was found abandoned on the side of the rode in a crate left to die. I am very matted and I need shaved down. So far, the Vet is treating my eyes, my ears, and my teeth need cleaning. Everyone says that despite my medical conditions, I am a very sweet, energetic girl. I was groomed today, and I look and feel much better. I even had my toe nails painted! I loved it. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet and give my story a happy ending.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
