Hello to all my friends and new friends. I am writing this before I go to an adoption show to hopefully meet my new family. I am doing so much better than when the rescue got me, I want to tell you all about it. First of all, I had very painful ears and a skin infection. I was not a real happy boy, obviously. Well, after CSAC got me all fixed up (thanks so much to all those nice vet people) I have NO pain. I am such a happy, relieved, and lucky boy to feel so wonderful now. I am doing fun things like playing ball. I wasn't much of a ball player before, so now I am learning to retrieve the ball. Now that I have lost some weight I feel better, too. I love to roll over and have my flat tummy rubbed! I am still a treat LOVER, though, don't think that has changed. My best friend at the kennel is so happy with me, and she just loves me. She gives me tons of attention which I love. She says I am the BEST pup in the car EVER. I love the rides and she is eager to take me places since I am so well behaved. All in all, I am a great boy who is doing really well. I am hoping soon that my family will come find me and take me to my new home. You do know that I need to be an only pup in the house. I know that not everyone wants lots of pups, so if you want one, I am IT!!!! My best friend will tell you all about me, too. Please ask CSAC about me. I will love you forever and be your best friend in the world. Hugs and kisses. Love - Theodore

Wow, I have had a long recovery, and I am finally getting out of the vet hospital. My ears were tricky. They had gone so bad for so long, they took awhile to heal completely. My infections are finally GONE! My skin has cleared up, my ears are now mended, and I am ready for a new home! I want to run a lot, play a lot, eat a lot and get a lot of love. Are you ready?

Hi everyone. After a few tests on my skin, the vets found out that I do not have allergies, but I do have a very tough skin infection. They have started giving me shots of an antibiotic to try to get rid of it. Unfortunately, I still need to have ear ablation because the nasty bacteria on my skin destroyed my ears. Sigh. I am a great pup who needs a great new home who can help keep me healthy. I am great in the car, and I am great on a leash. I really don't know about kids though - maybe if they were older and would play with me. I should be the only prince at home. I am ok meeting other dogs but I don't want to live with any.

Hello, my name is Theodore. My owner could no longer afford to take care of me and asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have a history of bad allergies. I need a home with someone who understand my special needs and can keep me healthy and happy. I will need an ear ablation because my ears are so bad. I love people. I have been around other dogs but have not lived with any for awhile. I am house trained. I do like my food and do not like to share. I have been to the vets A LOT for my allergies so sometimes I now get a little nervous at the vets. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
