12/12/2017 - UPDATE -
Cockapoo Luna reporting in. I will fill you in on my life since my friends at CSAC rescued me. I was in a shelter for awhile, but now life has taken a wonderful turn. I am in the coolest foster home with another pup and really nice people. I love it here. My foster sibling and I had a minor scuffle or two when we first met, but two days later all was well. We are good now, and we both sleep in the bed with Mom and Dad. How neat is that?! We have no problems when we eat near each other, so I would say we are really doing well. I am trying to use my very best manners. When it is time to go outside, I even wait for my sister pup to go out first. My foster mom thinks I will do fine in a home with another pup if we are given proper introductions. I really am enjoying life. Mom is happy that I have no accidents in the house and let her know when I need to go outside. I am crate trained, too. Mom says I have lots of energy so I need a yard to run around in or lots of walks during the day. I am speedy runner. One thing I must admit to is I like to chase squirrels and birds. And I am fast, so you need to keep an eye on me. When I am inside, I need something to chew. I have been really good and not chewed things that don't belong to me. But Mom says I spend some time each day working on the dog toy population. Yes, I do pull them apart and check out the stuffing and the squeaker. I will need some of those tough chew toys. I do love my toys, but I get a bit carried away. Mom said to tell you that I LOVE my belly rubs and pets, and I give kisses freely. Mom said it is so important that you know that I am super, super sweet and cute, too. I have to admit that I am not fond of kids. My former owner had a child who like to pull on my ears. I did snap at the toddler. I cannot wait until my new family comes to meet me and take me home. I am a fun, sweet and adorable girl, so you really should ask CSAC about me. I will make your family complete. Thanks for reading about me. Hugs and lots of holiday kisses - Luna

Hi Everyone! My name is Luna, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
