11/21/2019 - UPDATE -
Hi! I am taking time out of my busy day watching the birds and squirrels to let you know how great I am doing. My foster parents are so wonderful to me. Mom says I am doing really well and have settled into the routine of the house. I am not the most outdoorsy pup in the world, as I previously mentioned with my wildlife watching. But I do enjoy walks a lot. I am lucky to have a foster sister, and we get along well. Mom says I am housebroken and have super manners in the house. I am helpful, too. I let Mom and Dad know when it is time to empty the trash can in the bathroom. I like to do my part. Mom says I am SO helpful. I am a quiet guy and only bark once in a while when I notice someone of interest outside. Speaking of the great outdoors, I LOVE car rides. They are the best. Like all Cockers, I like my food. Mom feeds Sis and I separately since I don't like when she is near my bowl. I don't try to steal food, but we do better not eating together at dinner time. At treat time everything goes just fine. I am very mannerly, waiting my turn and no grabbing. I am very much a perfect gentleman. I am great getting groomed and when I am at the vet. Speaking of health, I really don't hear much of anything, but that's okay. Life is great as long as one is loved, gives love, and gets good food! I love my foster family so much and hang out with them wherever they are. One really cool thing I get to do is go to work with my mom. It is so much fun, and I meet all kinds of new friends. Oh, one character who doesn't consider me a friend is the family cat. Doesn't like me one bit, but it doesn't bother me at all. When I get too close to the cat she will swat at me. I ignore it! Goofy cat! Oh, last great thing to tell you is that I recently celebrated my birthday on Halloween. That's a fun day for a birthday because all the kids came to see me. It was a super birthday. So, life is wonderful, but I am eagerly waiting for my family to come meet me and take me to my home. I promise I will give lots of love and loyalty. I am a chill and handsome guy just waiting for you. Please tell CSAC that you want to meet the fantastic Hershey. Thanks for reading all about me. Hugs and kisses - Hershey

Hi, my name is Hershey. My former owner could no longer take care of me so CSAC was asked to find me a new home. I am house trained. I spent a lot of time in my crate. I would really like a new home that gives me lots of love, attention and time to run around. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
