11/17/2018 - UPDATE -
Greetings from Charlie. Here I am at the kennel with my buddies who said I need to let everyone know what a wonderful little boy I am. There are lots of things I am to tell you, like what a handsome reddish Cocker boy I am. I am about a year old and house broken. That is a really great thing I am told. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to play. I like playing ball and playing with toys. My favorite toy is my Lambchop; just love him. Gosh, I wish I had a new home to call my own and could play with my family. I am just one happy boy when I am with my kennel buddies. They are so great with me and we play like crazy. They do say that since I am really young I can get a little play nippy if you know what I mean. I get so excited. So I should not go to a home with small children. I know commands, and I walk well on a leash already. I think the only thing I am not really fond of is big dogs. My buddy says I am really smart and will learn all the rules in my new family. I promise that I will learn and do my very best to be the best boy. I need a family who will be patient with me as I learn and LOVE me as much as I love them. My wish is for a home soon. I am dreaming about you every night, my new family. Please come find me. Love, Charlie

MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:
Hello, my name is Charlie and I am looking for my golden ticket. I was in a shelter, and I went home. However, I did not like the cat who was already there, yuk. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I need a home that can finish puppy training me. I am house trained but I don't know how to tell you I have to go out. I LOVE being groomed. I love to cuddle, but I am shy and nervous around new people and situations. Once I know it is safe, I am happy and playful. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
