06/25/2019 - UPDATE -
Hello, my name is Royal. I don't believe I am from the royal family, but I am a regal looking girl for sure. Unfortunately for now, I had to have a big haircut when the rescue saved me because I was in poor condition. Likely, I will look even more regal when my good Cocker hair grows in. I do look amazingly cute with the little poof of hair on the top of my head. Makes me quite the adorable gal. I am lucky enough to have the best foster mother I can ever imagine. We have a great home, and there are lots of other foster siblings to play with and keep me amused. I have two dog siblings whom I get along with fabulously. My mom has a couple cats. They are pretty neat little characters. I don't chase them, tease them, or bark at them, so they think I am cool. I have only barked one time. Mom says I am a quiet and well-behaved lady. I do all my business outside. No accidents for this Royal. I walk nicely on the leash at my own pace. I don't react to other dogs at all. I am super well-behaved at treat time and wait patiently with my foster brothers for my turn for a treat. I do need to put on a little weight. I am also really good when Mom goes out. I do nicely in my crate or in the kitchen with a gate. I really am a calm, easy, and very sweet little girl. Mom loves me, that I know for sure. I love her LOTS and follow her all over the house. We love to be together. I nuzzle her if I need to be petted or just want some extra special attention. I love to curl up and snuggle with Mom. If you are searching for a gal like me, calm, sweet and ready to love you forever, please let CSAC know you want to meet Royal. I promise you that I will love you so very, very much. I am loving my foster home but waiting patiently for my people to come and take me home. Thanks so much for reading my letter. Love and kisses - Royal

Hi Everyone! My name is Royal, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Even though my name is Royal, I have not been treated like a princess. My fur was so over grown and matted that I could hardly move. When they first saw me, they were not sure I was even breathing. I had to be shaved down to the skin so I look a mess. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I do have ear infections, and my teeth need cleaned. In spite of everything, I just want to find a new home where I can cuddle with my owner and be treated like a true princess. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
