12/09/2019 - UPDATE -
Hola. They say that in life "you win some and you lose some." I won when my mass was removed from my mouth and all the cancer was removed. I won when I went to a foster home. However, I lost one. Everyone found out that I need to be an only dog. I am older and set in my ways. I do not like sharing treats, toys or food so I should be the only dog in a house. I need a loving home to retire to. I need someplace that will take me for walks, play with me, and make me their only special boy. I need another win. Can you help? Gracias - Juguete.

07/01/2019 - UPDATE -
I have been with CSAC since June 22. I did have a medical issue that needed addressed. I had a growth in my mouth which needed removed and biopsied. The biopsy did come back as a form of cancer, BUT the biopsy also said that the surgery removed all of the cancer in that growth. I truly have a second chance on life. Now, I need a loving home with someone who will keep me healthy and keep an eye on my condition. I want to make the most of my second chance! Someone who knows a little Spanish might also be a plus. I may need taught a new language - English. This old dog is ready to learn new tricks! Will you take me home and love me?

Hi Everyone! My name is Juguete (who-get-tay) which means "toy" or "plaything" in Spanish, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. My former owner said that she no longer had time to take care of me. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
