12/02/2019 - UPDATE -
Hello and happy December from me, Binky. I am writing to let all my friends know how well I am doing thanks to CSAC and the nice people who donated to my care. My skin is so much better and so are my ears. I do have a thyroid problem that gets checked to make sure all is going well. I am feeling super and am loving life in my foster home. I have great foster parents and foster pup siblings. I am discovering real happiness since I left my first home where I was mistreated and neglected. Enough of that. Life is now fantastic. My foster dad thinks I am not really 9 years old. He says I have the mind and energy level of a puppy. My foster parents do have a Cocker puppy. Dad says I spend a major part of my day horsing around with the puppy. Sounds fun, huh? Dad thinks I should have a home with a family with children who can enjoy playing with me or with another high energy dog who needs a playmate. When my playtime is over, I LOVE to cuddle with Dad on the sofa. I am super affectionate. Dad says I will make some very lucky family a wonderful new family member because I am just the greatest pup. I hope that my new family will meet me, fall in love, and take me home for Christmas. That is my only Christmas wish. I will love my new family as much as they will love me. It will be the best. I am here waiting. Thanks to my foster parents for giving me such a wonderful home until then. Thanks for reading about me. Love and hugs and kisses - Binky

11/3/2019 - UPDATE -
Hello everyone. Thank you to everyone who has donated for my care. I have been through hell, and I am now out on the other side. I am now at a kennel, being walked and played with by CSAC kennel buddies until I can find my new forever home. I am happy, sweet, and I love to play. I get along with other dogs and I ignore cats. I do have a thyroid issue, and I am on medication to control it. I am ready for my new home. Is that you?

Hi. My name is Binky, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I was taken from my former owner because of abuse and neglect. I lived in a house of horrors. I was one of the survivors. There were 2 other dogs who were found dead. I was severely covered in fleas. My fur is horribly matted, and I have lost fur over 50% of my body. I have ear infections. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. I will need an extensive stay at the vet hospital. They are doing everything they can to make me as healthy as possible. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
