04/08/2020 - UPDATE -
I had a sad life change lately when I was taken by my owners to a shelter. I was so depressed that my family would dump me there after being their girl for a long time. But CSAC saved me and life has become wonderful. I have the best foster family. I get along with everyone in my family, adults, kids, a dog and a cat. My foster mom says I am a lovely and very sweet Cocker. I am completely housebroken but need prompts to go out. I do take a medicine every day, but I am good with it. I sleep on the bed at night and snore very quietly, so it doesn't bother anyone. I am enjoying nice long walks in this nice spring weather. I am a good nap taker, too. I only bark if I have a good reason, like if a dog passes our house of if the mailman comes. I am a helpful family member and am happy to do my part. When the family is all on the sofa watching TV, I like to hang on the floor with them. I LOVE being near them, but I don't go up and sit on their laps. I am happy in my spot. I do enjoy lying in front of the fireplace. I just love all the wonderful things in my house and love being with my family. Mom says I am very, very sweet and a joy to have around. Hugs and kisses - Molly

Hello, my name is Molly, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. My life has been turned upside down. As a senior, I should be enjoying a nap in the sun and lots of love and pets. Instead, I was turned into a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Everyone says I am sweet and gentle. I know that I am not a young puppy but is there a home out there that will scoop me up, give me a hug and provide a safe home for the remainder of my days?

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Go back to the web site and click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
